|Unlocked Linksys PAP2-SPA|
|PAP2-SPA is a Linksys PAP2 adapter that is hacked and put a Sipura 1001 firmware in it. In other words, it is the same device in the same packing as other Linksys PAP2 devices; but the only difference is the firmware in it. The firmware is Sipura 1001 firmware.
You might consider buying a PAP2-SPA ($75) because it has two important advantages:
1- PAP2-SPA is completely (as long as you don't change the fw version) unlocked and even after factory reset, it won't be locked. So, you don't have to worry about if it gets locked. PAP2-SPA is absolutely unlocked.
2- You only need one phone to use your both accounts. That means your Line 1 and Line 2 will work from the same phone. Therefore, you don't need two separate phones or you don't need to switch the phone jacks of your PAP2.
Here is how it works: Let's say you have Provider A registered on Line 1 of your PAP2-SPA and you have Provider B on Line 2. Let's say Provider A gives you a 416 number, and Provider B gives you a 647 number. When some one calls you on Line 1 (Provider A), your phone rings as usual; but when some one calls you from Line 2 (Provider B) your phone rings differently. Therefore, you know what line and the number is being ring.
Here is another example: Let's say you want to call out from Line 1 (Provider A). All you have to do is pick up the phone and you will hear a dial tone that comes from Line 1. Just dial the number. You will be using only Line 1 (Provider A). Let's say you need to call from your Line 2 (Provider B) of your PAP2-SPA. This time, what you need to do is pick up the phone (you will again hear dial tone of Line 1) and press the number sign (#). Now you will be hearing a different dial tone that comes from Line 2 (Provider B). So, when you dial a number after you hear a different dial tone, you know that you are using Line 2 of your PAP2-SPA.
If you need to use both lines separately, then PAP2-SPA is not good for you. PAP2-SPA is perfect for people who only wish to use one phone for both voip accounts.
I have tested PAP2-SPA and saw that it works great. BUT, for some reasons, if you are not happy with your PAP2-SPA, I can always turn it back to Unlocked PAP2 version. In that, you can separate the two lines with two different phones when you need to. Contact me if this is what you need after buying a PAP2-SPA.
